The holidays are fast approaching — can you believe it’s already December?! This season can bring hordes of visitors, all seemingly dead-set on kissing your little one right on their face, where it's easiest to catch germs. 😷 This week, postpartum nurse Heather Berry weighs in on how we can all keep newborns healthy over the holiday season.

☎️ Dear Dr. Mom: How should I handle everyone wanting to kiss my newborn baby?
While adults have fully developed immune systems, newborns don’t have that kind of protection yet. So until they’re older (and vaccinated!), it’s best to keep people away from your baby’s face.
“When someone is desperate to smooch those cheeks, you can gently explain that right now, your baby’s ‘approved kissing zone’ is their adorable little feet,”
