28 Apr-12 May: Meet the community! (#12)

Hey all! Alexandra here 🐨 I’m buzzing from all the beautiful weather and joyful celebrations we’ve been having – it’s been such a blast discovering how to navigate holidays like King’s Day with a little one in tow.  Hope you’ve been having just as much fun.

One of the things we always talk about here at APP is the importance of the people around us. Which is why we’re so excited to introduce our new monthly segment: Community Spotlight! Think of it as your regular opportunity to get a peek into the mind of one of the parents around you. 🧠 You’re an interesting bunch, and I’m looking forward to getting the chance to chat with more of you.

💡Community Spotlight: Claudia Dader talks sleepless nights, daycare and the importance of surrounding yourself with other parents.

Claudia’s originally from Spain, and is newly back at work after having her 6 month old son. Read on for a sneak preview of her thoughts on motherhood, sleep and everything else that makes up those first few months.

“There’s a point that you think you aren’t going to make it but then suddenly everything changes.”

Claudia Dader

What surprised you most about becoming a mom?

There are so many things. It’s the calming power you over with your child, more than any other person, and the energy you still have during the day, even if you haven’t slept or had a single coffee. Our bodies are amazing, especially our breasts. It’s incredible how they work, and how little we know about them before we become mums.
