• Burnout Support Program: Fall 2025 ❤️‍🔥

  Signups open until 26 Aug

  Due to positive feedback and demand, we’re hosting a second cohort of the Burnout Support Program this Fall. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and don’t know how to move forward, join our small, safe, and super flexible 2 month program with a mix of 1:1 and group support. It’s guided by an expert psychotherapist and a mom who’s been through it. Sign up before 26 August, and feel free to reply to this email if you need more details.

• Art Connects: Family Fest

  Sat 23 Aug @ 09:30-13:00 — Slotermeer

  Iza from Art Connects New West is hosting a free family festival at the Natuurkamer, and there are still a few tickets left! It’s specifically designed for 1–5 year olds, with arts & crafts, music & movement, and a toy & clothes swap — everything to keep your toddler happy. Plus, there’s a special parent connection space to meet other families in the community. Join me, I’ll be there with my wee lass ☺️

• OBA Reading Picnic

  OBA is hosting a delightful picnic outside with a book reading about ice cream and adventure — and of course, free ice cream afterwards! There’s also coloring and games to keep everyone entertained.

• Afternoon Puppet Theater with Erik van Ophem

  Wed 6 Aug @ 15:00-15:30 — Oud West

  This free, whimsical, 30-minute puppet show by Erik van Ophem is perfect for young children. His regular performance across the city brings him to De Hallen this month; check the link above for more dates and locations in September and beyond.

• Junior Grachtenfestival: Babyconcert

  Mon 18 Aug @ 10:00-10:30 or 11:00-11:30 — Vondelpark 

  Composer Remy Alexander has created an enchanting baby concert inspired by picture books, where vocals, live instruments, and imaginative compositions come together to build a dreamy world that touches both young and old — full of wonder, movement, and storytelling. For babies 0+.

• Children's Parade: Tie your Shoelaces Toddler Concert

  Sat 9 Aug @ 17:00-18:00 — Rivierenbuurt

  It’s a free pop concert designed for children who can tie their shoes — or are still learning, which is likely the case for many of our 2+ toddlers! Dance to familiar tunes and new hits that will have everyone moving and grooving in the park. Thanks to an APP friend for the tip ❤️

• Children's Parade: Muk Toddler Show

  Join Muk the Dalmatian puppy on his colorful adventures at the Children's Parade! Enjoy charming stories and lively read-alouds that bring Muk's world to life. For toddlers 2+.

• Pillow Theater Magic Sensory Workshop

  Tue 12 Aug @ 10:00-12:00 — Rivierenbuurt

  Unleash your toddler's imagination at the Pillow Theater Magic workshop! This interactive sensory experience combines movement, soft music, and cozy pillows for a delightful adventure in storytelling. Make sure to bring along a pillow and a piece of fruit for snack time.

• Tumble & Tea at the Little Gym

  Mon-Sat @ 10:30-11:15, Sun @ 09:30 or 10:15 — Buitenveldert

  For babies and toddlers 4 months to 3 years old, the Little Gym is still hosting drop-in classes this Summer until 25 August. Their parent & child classes are centered around movement, music, learning and laughter to nurture ongoing skill development and boost self-esteem.

• Storytime with Charlene

  Thu 7 Aug @ 10:30-11:00 — Jordaan

  De Kinderboekwinkel (Children’s Bookstore) on Rozengracht hosts a free storytime with staff member Charlene, open to all ages. Enjoy enchanting tales and sing along to delightful songs to spark imagination and a love for reading for even the littlest babes.

• Circusbende Festival

  14-17 Aug — Noord (Jeudgland)

  Circus performances and workshops, colorful spectacles, and more; really a ton for even the smallest babies to take in! Fortunately most of the "all ages" performances and activities are free, but there are some performances you'll need to buy tickets for. Thanks to an APP newsletter reader for the tip ❤️

East

• Wateryoga at the Maritime Museum

  Daily @ 10:30, 11:15, 12:00 — Kattenburg

  Perfect for parents and todlers (ages 2-6), the session has you and your baby diving into a wave, rocking like a boat, and dancing like seaweed. Weather permitting, this program takes place outside on the jetty. Free with Museumkaart.
